2 Good Years

When I was serving a mission in Japan, we had such a fun couple from America live in the same area as us.  One day I was conversing with them, and the guy told me something that has stuck with me.  He said,
"How was the best two years of your life?"
I responded, "The best."
He then smiled, looked at me and said, "In the next two years let me know how the next best two years are."
I've known Justin since high school and to be married to this boy is such a blessing.  I felt like he was special the first day we met.
This boy fills me with so much joy I could burst.
He surprised me with Jamba in the morning, and we went to a fun movie and dinner that night.
Part of me is sad that two years have gone by so fast, two years that I'll never get them back again.
But, the other part of me is excited for what's to come.
I can't wait to meet the couple I met in Japan and tell them;
"I had another best two years of my life."

Happy two year anniversary J <3

Berry Good Day!

Hi!
M.I.A, this is true.  Big news is though that I'm officially done with school! Crazy I know!  Extra time to do things is always a bonus.  Knock on wood.  I'll be better with this.  Wanted to wish a berry good day to whoever reads this!

Gram

Its been over a year since my Grandmother passed away + I miss her every day.
G R A N D M A has become a sacred and special title because of this lady.

She taught me to follow my heart,
to finish my strudel {not just the frosting},
that family is everything,
that The Price is Right is the best game show ever {she would've dominated if she ever got on the show},
that time spent together is worth every second,
that laughing makes a day better.

I miss her wittiness,
holding her hand,
hearing her words of wisdom,
and drinking a soda with her.

If I could emphasize one of the many things she taught me, that would be spending time with family and the ones you love.
If you watch our family videos, you will see Grandma Laird constantly.  She was always there, even when it was only a phone call.
I challange myself + others who may read this to hug/call/spend time with your family + friends, because those moments will be the richest + most meaningful.

Gram I love you + miss you

Thank you for the impact you left on me.
