2 Good Years

When I was serving a mission in Japan, we had such a fun couple from America live in the same area as us.  One day I was conversing with them, and the guy told me something that has stuck with me.  He said,
"How was the best two years of your life?"
I responded, "The best."
He then smiled, looked at me and said, "In the next two years let me know how the next best two years are."
I've known Justin since high school and to be married to this boy is such a blessing.  I felt like he was special the first day we met.
This boy fills me with so much joy I could burst.
He surprised me with Jamba in the morning, and we went to a fun movie and dinner that night.
Part of me is sad that two years have gone by so fast, two years that I'll never get them back again.
But, the other part of me is excited for what's to come.
I can't wait to meet the couple I met in Japan and tell them;
"I had another best two years of my life."

Happy two year anniversary J <3

Berry Good Day!

Hi!
M.I.A, this is true.  Big news is though that I'm officially done with school! Crazy I know!  Extra time to do things is always a bonus.  Knock on wood.  I'll be better with this.  Wanted to wish a berry good day to whoever reads this!

Gram

Its been over a year since my Grandmother passed away + I miss her every day.
G R A N D M A has become a sacred and special title because of this lady.

She taught me to follow my heart,
to finish my strudel {not just the frosting},
that family is everything,
that The Price is Right is the best game show ever {she would've dominated if she ever got on the show},
that time spent together is worth every second,
that laughing makes a day better.

I miss her wittiness,
holding her hand,
hearing her words of wisdom,
and drinking a soda with her.

If I could emphasize one of the many things she taught me, that would be spending time with family and the ones you love.
If you watch our family videos, you will see Grandma Laird constantly.  She was always there, even when it was only a phone call.
I challange myself + others who may read this to hug/call/spend time with your family + friends, because those moments will be the richest + most meaningful.

Gram I love you + miss you

Thank you for the impact you left on me.

Ghost Town

Say hello to Virginia City + Nevada City!
These two places were P A C K E D with amazing history about an abandoned gold mine.
We went up together as a cast + explored.
The buildings we looked through had such a neat feeling to them.
History really brings people together.
I thought a lot about my ancestors and the lives that they lead to get me where I am today.
Truly I'm grateful for them.
We had fun taking pictures around these beautiful places.
Towards the end we went on a ghost walk where they told us about the haunted buildings.
Uh huh.
All in all it was a good time to be had.

Take A Seat

We went to Luke's sisters home for a D E L I C I O U S dinner.
They live in a wonderland, with acres of beautiful nature.
I had a little too much fun with the camera at this place.
Charlie sat up for the first time by himself for a picture. W A T C H OUT world.
We ended up later jumping into a river off of a bridge. Han and I kept convincing ourselves that we were "Brave." It worked...and we jumped.
Finally.
Justin cast the good ole fishing pole with Jake and even caught a fish the other day!
Survivor here we come.
Love these past couple of weeks. We can't get enough of the sun & W A T E R M E L O N
Take a seat summer.
We like you.

Wild Flowers

We went out on a hike + picked some wild flowers.  There is something about having flowers in the home that I can't get enough of. This is a short post but I wanted to share my flowers with you.
Hope your day is W O N D E R F U L

Skipping Rocks

The big news is that Playmill just had its 50th birthday.
H A P P Y  B I R T H D A Y
I met a guy at the Playmill one evening named Bill,
and this man is astounding.
He has traveled the world + can make a ton of friends in seconds,
Over the pass couple of years he has invited the cast over to his cabin.
It was a fun filled evening.
Later that day, we got a group together and went on another adventure.
There were so many times today where I wanted to kiss the ground I was seeing,
this place is beautiful.
I was grateful to have a moment to take my shoes off, laugh, and skip some rocks on the water.
The definition of today is, P E A C E
